Publicis Pokes London Shop, Makes New Digital Friend

Publicis Groupe has expanded its digital footprint, announcing a deal to acquire London-based Poke, an award-winning digital shop known for its work on Mulberry, SkyBet, the BBC, and other clients.Terms were not disclosed, but Publicis said it bought the 12-year-old agency from its four founding shareholders and the U.K.’s Mother Holdings Ltd.

With specialty services in digital design, user experience, social, e-commerce, mobile and product development, Poke will continue operate as a freestanding agency alongside Publicis London, Publicis Chemistry and Publicis Blueprint.

Prior to Publicis’ acquisition, the agency’s U.S. outpost, Poke New York, completed a management buyout and relaunched and re-branded itself as digital indie Makeable.
