Aussie Watchdog Finds Royal Prank Broke Law

The Australian radio station that made a prank call to the Duchess of Cambridge's hospital "broke the law", the country's media watchdog has reportedly said. 2Day FM has argued that it sought permission before the prank and that phone records show that it made follow-up calls to the King Edward VII Hospital after recording the hoax. A confidential, preliminary report by the Australian Communications and Media Authority which emerged in a court case stated that 2Day FM acted illegally by airing the phone call without consent.
