It's not really surprising, but eMarketer estimates that by the end of 2013, seven in 10 U.S. men ages 18 to 34 will own a smartphone. The survey also found the age group like to shop on their
mobile device, ranging from retail store apps to price checking. Watching video clips on mobile has become a big pastime. The eMarketer report points to a Google poll of U.S. smartphone
owners that suggests 35% of 18- to-24-year-old men and 40% of women in that same age group said they watched video on their smartphone daily. For 25-to-34-year-olds, those numbers rose to 44% among
men, but fell to 27% among women.
