Another major senior executive change at NBCUniversal, this time to its television unit: Lauren Zalaznick is leaving. Until recently, Zalaznick had been in charge of a number of NBCUniversal cable networks -- especially instrumental in rising cable channels such as Bravo.  

As chairman of NBCUniversal entertainment & digital networks and integrated media, she oversaw Bravo Media, Oxygen Media, Style Media, Telemundo Media, mun2, Sprout and TVOne, as well as the digital properties DailyCandy, Fandango, Television Without Pity, and iVillage.

This past February, the 12-year NBC executive took a different role as executive vice president in charge of “innovation, digital, monetization, and emerging technology” -- shifting many of her cable network responsibilities to Bonnie Hammer, chairman of NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Group.

In a memo to NBC staffers, Steve Burke, chief executive officer of NBCUniversal, said: “Lauren will remain at the company to transition her current portfolio, and then consult with NBCUniversal on digital media content and technology marketplace trends.”

Many of her current NBCU responsibilities will be assumed by Cesar Conde, who joined NBCU this month as an EVP reporting to Burke.

Recently, Burke appointed Jeff Shell, chairman of Universal Filmed Entertainment, with Adam Fogelson departing as chairman of Universal Studios. He will handle Consumer Products and Fandango. Shell was replaced by Donna Langley, promoted to chairman of Universal Pictures. At the same time, Ron Meyer became vice chairman of NBCUniversal.
