Kalehoff Cracks SocialCode, Will Oversee Marketing

Digital marketing veteran Max Kalehoff has joined SocialCode as senior vice president of marketing, responsible for corporate marketing, product marketing, thought leadership and public relations.

Kaleoff, who is a long-time member of MediaPost’s Online Spin Board, most recently was vice president-marketing and a member of the founding management team at Clickable, which was acquired by Syncapse in 2012. Prior to that, he was vice president-marketing at BuzzMetrics, which was acquired by Nielsen in 2007.

SocialCode is a technology and managed services company that helps marketers and agencies manage social media campaigns. It is one of Facebook’s elite “strategic preferred marketing developers,” and it is one of a handful of Twitter API partners.

“The company uses advanced technology and algorithms to perform very large scale paid social media campaigns,” Kalehoff explains, adding, “What makes us unique is we have a very strong analytics prowess, which brings together an understanding of content and audience segments in order to make the most effective paid social media buys.”

Kalehoff says a big challenge for many brands and media shops is understanding which content is going to work best across social media platforms, and especially, which ones should reap paid spending in the form of “promoted posts, which are the predominant unit in paid social media.”

“They key question for marketers and agencies is, ‘What posts do we continue to promote,’” Kalehoff explains.
