Venables Bell & Partners hired Michael Davidson as head of strategy. Davidson will oversee the agency’s department, including account planning and communications strategy, and report to Lucy
Farey-Jones, partner, executive strategy director. Davidson joins the agency from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, where he spent two stints – his first working on
TheWall Street
Journal and Haagen-Dazs and most recently as group strategy director leading Sprint’s “Now Network” and “All Together Now” campaigns. He also helped Goodby pitch and
create Xfinity’s “Future of Awesome” platform. Joining Davidson in the strategy department is another new hire, Leander Chapman as group strategy director. “Chappy,” as
he is known, joins VB&P after running his own boutique strategy consultancy Crosscut Advisory Partners. Prior to that, he was a strategy director for Translation.
