Google said Thursday it will invest about $80 million in six solar facilities in California and Arizona, partnering with global firm KKR. Developed by solar expert Recurrent Energy, the projects have
a combined capacity of 106MW and will generate enough electricity to power over 17,000 U.S. homes. The investment is similar to the $94 million in four solar facilities developed by Recurrent in 2011.
