Rogers Adds To Sports Empire With NHL Deal

One week after signing a 12-year, $5-billion media deal with the NHL, Canada-based Rogers Communications has acquired naming rights to the under-construction venue for the Edmonton Oilers, adding to a Rogers roster that also includes Rogers Centre Stadium (MLB's Toronto Blue Jays), Rogers Arena (Vancouver Canucks), ownership of the Blue Jays and long-term media pacts with the NHL, MLB, NFL, NBA, MLS and NCAA.
