As part of its mission to curate important cultural experiences influencing the way consumers connect with media, Giant Spoon (see main profile in today's MediaPost's Agency Daily) periodically compiles
“discovery boxes” sent to clients, new business prospects and certain VIPs. Each one is themed and designed to demonstrate the latest in design or products.
“To us, the most important parts of creativity in our business come from curiosity, discovery, and conversation,” explains Giant Spoon Co-Founder Alan Cohen. “Curiosity comes in many forms but to us this box represents curiosity and its connection to discovery.”

Giant Spoon’s first discovery box is themed “social entertaining,” and includes items such as a German-made wine pump and stopper and a Wagenfeld designed pepper shaker designed in the 1950's, which Cohen describes as “retro and futuristic at the same time.”
Not surprisingly, all of the boxes will contain specially selected spoons too. The first one features a coffee spoon from Stockholm’s WMF, which is famous for being “classic,” but is not sold in the U.S.
