Audi Releases The Doberhuahuas In Sixty-Second Super Bowl Ad

audiAnd now that you've watched the Audi Super Bowl teaser ad, which I personally enjoyed more, here's a look at the actual in-game ad promoting the Audi A3. GoDaddy has its stampede of body builders and Audi has a city overrun with Doberhuahuas, hybrid dogs that have the head of a Doberman Pinscher and the body of a Chihuahua. The ad is a comical take on the effects of compromising and the terrifying consequences that follow a young couple searching for the perfect breed of dog. As the couple try and decide what breed of dog to buy, the pet store manager encourages the pair to compromise and get the best of both worlds. Not so much. The Doberhuahua might fit in a woman's purse, but its disposition is far from friendly. Its head and body weigh roughly the same, which makes wearing protective cones a hazardous affair. Soon, the Doberhuahuas overtake a city, chase a kid on his big wheel, eat Sarah McLachlan's guitar, clear out a dog park and cause madness and mayhem all around. "Compromise scares us, too," reads copy as the couple drive home in their Audi A3 with an adorable mutt that was rescued from the animal shelter: the best part of the ad! Seen here, the spot closes with the hashtag #StayUncompromisedVenables Bell & Partners created the spot, directed by Noam Murro.  Check out Audi's ad from last year, "Prom," and let me know which ad you like best.
