Brightcove Ad Tech To Support Chromecast Apps

Brightcove on Wednesday said it's now offering its video ad technology Once for Google Chromecast app developers.

Chromecast, which sells for $35, is a device that can be plugged into an HDTV to stream video and music (using a mobile device or laptop as the controller).

Developers of Chromecast apps can now "quickly deploy and monetize feature-rich video" using Brightcove Once.

The Once platform stems from Brightcove's $49 million acquisition of Unicorn Media last month.
