Rocket Fuel Revenue Up Big YoY; Mobile Accounts For 19% In Q4

Rocket Fuel’s Q4 2013 earnings were released on Thursday, and the company saw its revenue grow 126% -- up to $240.6 million -- over 2012. George John, chairman and CEO, stated that Rocket Fuel also doubled its active customer base.

The mobile, social and video channels were key to Rocket Fuel in 2013. Those three channels accounted for 32% of the company’s total revenue in Q4 2013 -- four times more than they accounted for in Q4 2012. When comparing year-over-year numbers, mobile, social and video combined to account for a whopping 721% more revenue for Rocket Fuel in 2013 compared to 2012.

Of those three channels, mobile was the biggest revenue generator. Mobile accounted for just under one-fifth (19%) of the company’s revenue in Q4.

Looking ahead, the company is expecting revenue in the range of $73 to $76 million in Q1 2014, down from the $85.6 million in generated in Q4 2013.

On 2014 as a whole, Rocket Fuel is eyeing revenue in the range of $420 to $435 million.
