WPP Takes Stake In eCommera

WPP is investing in eCommera, the retail data management and software specialist. The holding company has put up part of the $41 million that the London-based company has just raised in a Series C funding round.

The funding will be used in part to help the company expand further into the North American market.

Also, funds will be used to develop a new application that combines Big Data predictive analytics with online, mobile and operational software to allow retailers to sell and fulfill orders via multiple locations and channels.

Dawn Capital led the financing round. Other investors included West Coast Capital, Frog Capital, ePlanet Capital, and Wti.

eCommera was founded in 2007 and now has 70 retailer and global brand clients including Neiman Marcus, Brooks Brothers and Bouclair.
