Google Pays Italy For Privacy Breaches

Google's street view cars have breached Italy's privacy laws. It prompted the regulator, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, to announce Thursday Google's fine. Italy's data protection authority (DPA) said in 2010 cars belonging to the company roamed the country's streets without being entirely recognizable -- making it difficult for the people on the street to decide whether or not to be photographed, per ZDNet.
