London is the driving force behind a 7% increase in marketing job vacancies in the last quarter, according to a study from recruitment firm Robert Walters. In the capital, marketing vacancies have
risen by 21% and there was also strong growth in the North West of 13%. In contrast, the study found that demand for IT roles and retail posts was down 6% and 4%, respectively. Robert Walters believes
this has led to employers having to offer marketing executives wage increases to counter offers from other companies and agencies.
