Tremor Video Revenue Up 40% YoY, DSP Launch Expected In Q2

Tremor Video has released its Q1 2014 financial results, and the ad tech company reports that its revenue grew 40.8% year-over-year, up to $34.9 million.

The company expects Q2 revenue to be in the range of $39 million to $41 million. That means Tremor is anticipating quarter-over-quarter revenue growth of at least 11.7%. For 2014 as a whole, Tremor is expecting revenue of $158 million to $163 million.

Mobile is becoming increasingly important for Tremor. Mobile accounted for 13.2% of its total revenue during Q1 2014, up from 9.3% one year ago. That may not seem like a huge jump -- and it’s true that it leaves plenty of room for growth -- but that does represent a 42% year-over-year increase.

Revenue from performance-based pricing has been dropping. It accounted for 22.6% of Tremor's revenue in Q1 2014, down substantially from 36.1% in Q1 2013.

Bill Day, president and CEO of Tremor, noted that the company plans to launch its demand-side platform (DSP) at some point during the second quarter. Day also said the company plans to launch a supply-side platform (SSP) for premium publishers “later this year.”
