Coldwell Banker Videos Feature MLB Homes

Baseball legends CC  Sabathia, Adam Jones, Johnny Damon and Steve Garvey have opened their homes to viewers as part of the Coldwell Banker Home Field Advantage video series.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate and MLB.com partnered to produce the series which explores what “home” means to active and former baseball stars by offering a rare look into the places they call home when they’re not on the field.

The 13 videos “showcase the emotional attachment people have to their homes,” says Sean Blankenship, senior vice president, marketing for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, in a release.

The real estate company is the first of its kind to partner with MLB.com.  The first two videos debuted May 14 on a special section of the Coldwell Banker Blue Matter blog. Each video will also be featured on MLB.com and the official website of each player’s team at different points throughout the MLB season.

The first two videos feature CC Sabathia of the New York Yankees and Neil Walker of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Coldwell Banker identified markets that were important to them, and then found the players who had the most interesting story to tell about their homes in each market.

A new video will debut on the Coldwell Banker Blue Matter blog and MLB.com every Wednesday through the month of July, with the exception of July 16. With this year’s MLB All-Star Game in Minnesota on July 15, Coldwell Banker Real Estate and MLB.com will release a special All-Star Game edition Home Field Advantage segment on July 14. The special video entry is scheduled to feature Minnesota native and Twins pitcher, Glen Perkins.

LaTroy Hawkins from the Colorado Rockies will be featured May 21, Johnny Damon from the Boston Red Sox debuts May 28 and Steve Garvey from the Los Angeles Dodgers debuts June 4. Adam Jones of the Baltimore Orioles appears on June 11, Dillon Gee from the New York Mets debuts June 18 and Dexter Fowler from the Houston Astros debuts June 25.

Colby Rasmus from the Toronto Blue Jays debuts July 2, Adam Dunn from the Chicago White Sox premieres July 9 and AJ Griffin from the Oakland A’s debuts July 23. Finally, Brandon Belt from the San Fransisco Giants debuts July 3.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate will also have homepage advertising exclusively running on MLB.com and all official MLB team sites excluding the Toronto Blue Jays, beginning May 14. This is part of the company’s advertising buy that runs through August and includes sponsorship of several MLB.TV free Game of the Day promotions.

Expanding on the baseball partnership, Coldwell Banker Real Estate has secured local sponsorship with seven Comcast Sports Network affiliates. Affiliate stations in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, D.C., Houston, New York, Oakland, Philadelphia and San Francisco will air Coldwell Banker commercials during coverage of their local MLB teams.

Coldwell Banker also is sponsoring the Home Field segment of ESPN’s popular nightly baseball news program, Baseball Tonight. In each segment, the show’s on-air talent breaks down key plays from that day’s games on a Coldwell Banker branded baseball infield.
