AppNexus Doubling Down In Singapore

AppNexus on Tuesday announced its plans to expand its operations in Singapore. The company first opened Singapore offices and a local data center last year.

The company intends to add new offices in the Marina Bay Financial Centre of Singapore. AppNexus also plans to double the size of its workforce in Singapore by hiring locals and transferring some of its existing staff.

AppNexus is moving two of its New York workers — Andrew Lenehan, client services team lead, and Jenny Mizusawa, APAC sales manager — as well as an unnamed number of “seasoned staff” from its other European offices to Singapore.

A company representative said the AppNexus team in Singapore is currently at four with “plans to grow to eight in the near term.”

“As demands for programmatic opportunities expand across the globe, we’re excited to see AppNexus delver its technology into a fast and growing region like APAC,” stated Robert Woolfrey, managing director of APAC at Millennial Media. AppNexus and Millennial Media are partners and launched a mobile ad exchange last September.
