First Voice Recognition Banner Aims To Cut Food Waste

Sainsbury’s and Google have developed the first interactive banner ad to use voice recognition. The technology is part of the Sainsbury's Food Rescue campaign which helps people avoid waste by offering recipe ideas for ingredients. After clicking on the banner, either on mobile or a computer, consumers are asked to say which ingredients they have. Recipe ideas are then offered so the food can be used rather than discarded.
