Regent Street is set to embrace iBeacons from the end of the month. Hamleys, Armani, Longchamp and Hackett have already installed iBeacons in their Regent Street stores ahead of an iPhone app being
made available by The Crown Estate, which owns the famous shopping street. It is expected that every shop will join the scheme, which will be promoted to shoppers via street signs. Those who download
the app will be sent discounts and offers.
