16 More Companies Join IAB Ad Quality Program

The IAB has announced that 16 more companies are awaiting certification under the revised IAB Quality Assurance Guidelines program (QAG 2.0).

There are now 51 companies in the program. In May, the IAB announced the first 29 digital companies to be certified under the new guidelines.

The 16 companies awaiting certification are:

In addition, the IAB has split the certified companies into two tiers: Independent Validation and Self-certification. To date, only Dstillery has been independently validated, by BPA Worldwide. Independent validation requires a company to have a third-party source validate whether it conforms to the IAB standards.

“Third-party validation takes QAG certification to an even higher level of trust,” asserted Mike Zaneis, EVP and general counsel of public policy at IAB. He said the IAB wants to extend QAG to “become a broader industry accountability program.”

The story has been updated to reflect that the 16 new companies are awaiting certification. The story initially stated that the 16 companies had been certified.
