LinkedIn Testing Programmatic Targeting

The Wall Street Journal has reported that LinkedIn “recently launched a pilot program to allow marketers to target ads across the Web” using the site’s data. GroupM’s Xaxis is testing the new ad product, as is Dstillery, per the WSJ.

Additionally, the WSJ notes: “Besides letting brands target users on other sites, LinkedIn is also opening up its own ad inventory via programmatic channels. Essentially, advertisers can target specific audiences on LinkedIn through a 'private exchange,' an increasingly popular tactic in the online ad world."
