Zenith Media Sweeps Up Electrolux Account

Electrolux Major Appliances, North America has named Publicis Groupe's Zenith Media its new agency for U.S. media strategy, planning and buying. 

Omnicom Group's Prometheus has handled these duties since 2006. 

The company spent $33 million on advertising in the U.S. last year, up from $30 million in 2012, according to Kantar.

Electrolux Major Appliances portfolio includes refrigerators, stoves and microwave ovens, air conditioners, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers. 

Electrolux intends to increase its global marketing budget this year to support several new product launches, although it has declined to discuss specific figures.

Meanwhile, Omnicom's DDB will remain in charge of Electrolux creative, which was not part of the review.
