Sky Invests In American Sports YouTube Channel

BSkyB has invested $7m (£4.3m) in Whistle Sports, an American start-up that runs a sports network on YouTube targeting young ‘millennial’ viewers, who are abandoning traditional television. The deal, which it is understood will give BSkyB a minority stake in Whistle Sports, is the latest in a string of investments in start-ups that aim to help safeguard the future of the broadcaster.
