For Abigail Scott, manager, multi-channel marketing at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc., emails from Map My Run get her excited to see a roundup of how much she has actually worked out. She is always striving to run more and reach her personal best, so the emails help keep her engaged and competitive.

Abigail Fay Biralde, senior manager of digital marketing at the Apollo Education Group, says she appreciates emails from StubHub because they remind her about games for her favorite football team. As the 49ers progress through the season, Biralde loves to know how her favorite team is doing and these emails keep her informed without being too salesy.
