A tie-up between Alibaba Group Holding Ltd  and Apple Inc. is expected to be reached in the near future, which will open huge avenues for both companies in the Chinese market. Apple’s Touch ID is reported to have been introduced on Alipay’s smartphone app today. After updating Alipay’s mobile app on devices featuring Touch ID, like the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, users will be able to use their fingerprints to authorize payments, in both brick-and-mortar stores and online stores in China. The updated Alipay mobile app will allow users to enjoy the latest features offered by Apple Pay.
