WPP's Landor Sets Up Shop In Turkey

Strategy brand consultant agency Landor is adding Turkey to its network of 28 offices in 22 countries. Landor, part of WPP’s Young & Rubicam Group, says several recent campaign launches have helped to underscore the need to create a permanent base and an enhanced team in Istanbul.

Idil Yenisehirli has been appointed as Landor’s country manager for Turkey and will oversee operations there. Her key focus will be staffing up the new location with senior designers and strategists. During her 11 years at Landor, Yenisehirli has worked across a wide range of industries on multiple branding projects for clients such as Efes, Turkcell, Eczacba, and Koç Holdings.

The agency launched two major award-winning campaigns for glassware manufacturer, Lav (formerly Gurallar ArtCraft), and for Turkey’s top raki brand, Yeni Raki. Both campaigns were recognized at this year’s Transform Awards MENA in Dubai, with a silver awarded to Yeni Raki for best brand evolution and a bronze to Lav for best creative strategy.

She added that Yenisehirli’s “blend of local and international brand experience, of strategy and creativity, makes her the ideal person to help us grow our presence and our client relationships. We're hugely excited about the year ahead in Istanbul.”
