RB -- the global consumer health, hygiene and home company formerly known as Reckitt Benckiser -- continues to tinker with its agency roster. It has awarded its consolidated global Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements (VMS) business to McCann Worldgroup.
Brands covered under the new assignment include MegaRed and Airborne. The brands were previously handled by New York-based KWG in the U.S. and Havas WW in the rest of the world.
In the U.S., RB spent $65 million in measured media for the VMS unit last year, according to Kantar. Global spending was not immediately available.
In May, RB appointed three new agencies -- McCann Worldgroup, Droga5 and W+K -- to build out its roster of creative shops beyond their long standing creative partner, Havas Worldwide. In addition to the new VMS assignment, McCann handles ad chores for RB’s Mucinex and Delsym brands globally. McCann launched a new Mucinex campaign in the U.S. in October.
Last year, RB conducted a media review for its U.S. assignment and selected Aegis Media over incumbent ZenithOptimedia, which still handles duties for markets outside the U.S.
