Premiere Networks Tap Shapiro As VP Sports Programming

Premiere Networks named Scott Shapiro vice president of sports programming. Shapiro will oversee sports programming and content, including the Fox Sports Radio Network, a division of Premiere.

Fox Sports Radio airs on 400+ stations and reaches a weekly audience of 5 million.

Scott, who reports to Don Martin, Premiere’s SVP of sports programming, was previously a program director for EPSN Radio. There, he worked on shows such as “Mike & Mike” and “The Herd With Colin Cowherd.”

Prior to ESPN, he was at WQXI-AM in Atlanta.

Martin stated that Shapiro’s hire “reaffirms our commitment to providing the best sports entertainment content the industry has to offer.” Shapiro said Fox Sports Radiio and Premiere offer “tremendous growth potential,” adding, “the sky is the limit in terms of the talent, infrastructure and resources available.”

Premiere Networks, a subsidiary of iHeartMedia, syndicates 90 radio programs and services to more than 5,500 radio affiliations and reaches 245 million listeners monthly.

Fox Sports Radio includes "Jay Mohr Sport," "The Ben Maller Show" and "JT The Brick."

Shapiro will be based in Los Angeles.
