MediaMath Taps Buchalter, Lamb As Co-Presidents

MediaMath, a demand-side platform (DSP), on Wednesday announced the appointments of Ari Buchalter and Michael Lamb as co-presidents.

Buchalter will lead the company’s “Platform” unit, which is where MediaMath’s DSP -- TerminalOne -- is housed. Per a release, Buchalter will be tasked with turning the DSP, which has been largely focused on display advertising, into more of an “omni-channel” ad platform.

According to the release, MediaMath will also integrate native buying capabilities and will look to improve its data management and targeting offerings.

The renovations have already begun. In late 2014, MediaMath acquired Rare Crowds an audience targeting firm, and last week the DSP partnered with Integral Ad Science for media measurement. The company has also begun integrating with native ad platforms.

As president of the MediaMath’s “Commercial” division, Lamb will oversee expansion to emerging markets as well as market education. Earlier this year, MediaMath announced it has opened an office in Spain, and in August 2014 the company opened shop in Australia.
