OMD Tops (Again) In Latest Gunn Media Ranking

Once again, Omnicom’s OMD Worldwide has been named the world’s most creative media agency network in 2014 by the Gunn Report For Media, which was released Thursday. Coca-Cola was the most awarded advertiser, according to the report.

The report tracks industry award competitions, such as the Cannes Media Lions and other contests, and then devises a point system for identifying the leading agencies, holding companies and advertisers in media creativity.

According to the latest Gunn Media report, two Omnicom Media Group shops placed in the top 3 rankings for most awarded media agency networks. OMD scored 521 points to finish first in the category, while sibling network PHD was third, with 357 points. OMD has placed first in the category each year since the Gunn Report For Media launched in 2004. It was the first time that PHD reached a top 3 finish.

Publicis Groupe’s Starcom MediaVest Group was second among agency networks with 467 points and WPP’s Mindshare was fourth with 294 points. Rounding out the top five was Interpublic’s UM with 209 points.
