Canadian Government Email Upgrade Won't Happen Til 2016

The Canadian federal government's plans to integrate 63 different email platforms into one system has been delayed. The effort, which requires the migration of hundreds of thousands of email addresses across 43 departments, won't be done until 2016. The organization was working against a March 31, 2015 deadline but has pushed it back to next year after the two companies in charge of the effort - Bell Canada and CGI Information Systems - experienced delays.
