Agency Replaces Silos With 'Knowledge Group' 20 Years After Every Other Agency

Are we really still talking about silos in the ad world? Didn't those silos come crashing down in, like, 1998? Well, perhaps not for all agencies, it seems.

Texas-based ad agency Sanders\Wingo has launched what they are calling "The Knowledge Group," a new division that aims to combine planning with media and insights. The new unit will be led by SVP De Anne Heath and will employ 23 staff members across the agency's four offices in Austin, El Paso, Atlanta and New York.

The agency says its new unit will employ in-depth skills in behavioral economics, behavioral targeting and consumer data to "highlight the natural connection between who the target consumer should be, how they should be spoken to and where the conversation should take place."
