Walton Isaacson Lands Two New Executives In Two New Roles

Touting itself as "The Planet's Most Interesting Agency," full-service creative and strategic shop Walton Isaacson (WI) is attracting two high-level executives with newly created roles.

Kirsten Atkinson is joining the agency to the newly created VP of Media and Branded Integration. She will be based in Los Angeles and will lead the media teams from the Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Miami offices. Atkinson will lead WI's strategic planning and buying process as well as branded integration for the agency. She reports to the agency’s co-founders Aaron Walton and Cory Isaacson.

Atkinson, who has more than 15 years of advertising experience across package goods, technology, beer and automotive, was previously with Team One where she served as a media director.

“Kirsten’s experience across platforms and media as well as cultures is a perfect match with our agency’s DNA," says Walton Isaacson co-founder and partner Aaron Walton. "In particular, we are keen on her ability to traverse traditional channels along with branded entertainment and experiential.”

Meanwhile, Vida Cornelious is joining as executive vice president and chief creative officer, another position that is new to the agency. Cornelious will split her time across the Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York offices. Overseeing the overall creative vision for the agency and building on her cross-cultural expertise, her role will be "to continue to elevate the quality of work at Walton Isaacson," say agency executives.

Cornelious will also report to Walton and Isaacson, who are based in Los Angeles and Chicago, respectively. “Vida Cornelious is a much lauded creative executive who understands client needs and knows how to build brands across cultures and disciplines. We are thrilled to have her on board,” Isaacson said. Walton added: “Vida is everything we have been looking for in this role. With offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Tokyo, we needed someone with a truly cross cultural and international awareness.”

She joins the agency Cornelious from Global Hue where as chief creative officer she obtained the coveted agency AOR role for the JEEP Brand. During her 18-year career, she also served as VP, creative director at DDB Chicago where she helped create campaigns for McDonald’s, Dell Computers, JCPenny, State Farm, Qwest and Budweiser.
