Fox Named VP, Digital For Consumer Reports


A former Reuters executive was named vice president, digital for Consumer Reports.

Jason Fox is charged with supervising the organization's digital products and partnerships.
He reports to Leonora Wiener, vice president of brand, product strategy and Integration at Consumer Reports.

Wiener states that his focus is to "reimagine the brand's digital experience," noting that his past history in digital has produced “many award-winning, industry-recognized digital products.”

Prior to joining Consumer Reports, Fox was the global head of product for Reuters, the world’s largest multimedia news organization. At Reuters, he helped revamp Media Express, its business-to-business product, Media Express. He also launched Reuters Live Online, Reuters Access, Reuters Essential Video Archive, as well as a new business, Reuters-TIMA Location Services.

Before Reuters, he held several posts at Time, Inc. where he worked with the digital arms of Time, Fortune and Life, building partnerships with key social media networks.

“I see tremendous opportunities to bring new digital products to market and transform the organization's online offerings ... as well as reach new audiences and communities,” added Fox.

Consumer Reports is the world's largest nonprofit consumer organization. It independently tests products and services, accepting no advertising, payment or other support from the companies whose products it evaluates.

Consumers Union, a division of Consumer Reports, works for pro-consumer laws and regulations nationwide. It reports more than 8 million subscribers to its flagship magazine, site and other publications.
