Lowe Mullen Merger to Bring Jobs And International Flair to Boston

So by now you've probably heard that Interpublic Group is merging Boston-based Mullen with London-based Lowe and Partners. Mullen CEO Alex Leikikh has been promoted to CEO of the new entity, which will be known as Mullen Lowe Group.

Of the merger and how it will affect Mullen and the Boston ad community, Leikikh said: “The whole point of this thing is to grow and I think Boston should benefit significantly from that. My intent is to create jobs in Boston and continue to grow the Boston office.”

He adds, “For us, it represents an opportunity to pull in great global talent and ask them to work on the clients we service in Boston. It also represents an opportunity to properly pitch multinational business.”

I spent a few years working in agencies in Boston (sadly, never Mullen) and this move pleases this former Bostonian.
