KBS (kirshenbaum bond senecal + partners) has added several senior managers to its social media shop Attention. The additions are designed to capture more business and promote further integration with its parent company.
GianCarlo Pitocco will serve as the agency’s first chief strategy officer and will lead the strategy and analytics practice. He previously worked at GCP&Co., a strategy firm that he founded to help brands, early-stage startups and marketing agencies evolve their approach to consumers in mobile, social and digital. Prior to GCP&Co., Pitocco served as director of strategy at MRY.
Jeremy Simon has been appointed to oversee the influencer and partnership division and will continue to do the same at KBS. Sarah Kauffman, previously director of content & social management at KBS, will continue to serve as an extension of the KBS technical operations team in her new role as Attention's lead of operations and community management.
Rachel Guthermann has been promoted from group account director, client services to VP client services. And Daniel Janoff will oversee Attention's creative department.
These executives will report to Attention President Tom Buontempo and will focus on expanding the agency globally and "help clients navigate the increasingly complex social waters” according to the agency.
Attention was acquired by MDC Partners in 2009 and became a part of KBS in 2014. The social media marketing agency has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto.
