Horizon Media is expanding CFO Vincent O'Toole’s role in company operations. O’Toole is adding the title of chief operating officer.
O’Toole is tasked with overseeing Horizon Media’s Finance, Information Technology, Business Affairs, Shared Services and Facilities departments, ensuring that Horizon’s business infrastructure runs as efficiently and smoothly as possible.
In his new position as chief operating officer, O’Toole will now also oversee the agency’s new data science practice, led by newly hired Chief Analytics Officer Rick Watrall. Also reporting to O’Toole will be the direct marketing operation, helmed by Executive Vice President and Managing Partner Gene Turner, and the agency’s Invent@horizon initiative, headed by Chief Invention Officer Taylor Valentine.
Bill Koenigsberg, president, founder and CEO of Horizon Media, commented that “this promotion recognizes Vinnie’s focused and thoughtful strategic leadership across so many aspects of the business. Vinnie continues to help Horizon to grow, invent and transform as we continue to help our clients navigate the ever-changing media landscape. It has been a pleasure having him by my side for the past eight years and I look forward to our continued partnership with great excitement and enthusiasm.”
During his reign as chief financial officer, Horizon has achieved double-digit revenue growth in each of the past eight years, agency executives say. O’Toole has also been instrumental in the formation of strategic partnerships and enhanced service offerings that include Horizon’s acquisition of InsideOut Sports + Entertainment, the creation of Bungalow Horizon, an integrated content production studio, and the formation of the agency’s Eden Road Trading division for corporate trade and barter.
Before joining Horizon in 2008, O’Toole was SVP, Controller at MTV Networks. He started his career at accounting firm Arthur Andersen.
