Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) is partnering with social content provider Storyful to enable its clients to access Storyful's network and services. Storyful’s global team of technologists and journalists monitor the social web and provide services such as brand intelligence, thematic insights and licensed user-generated content.
Now, SMG's LiquidThread and its sibling content groups Relevant 24, MRY, and Big Fuel will integrate these services and make its content available to its clients.
“Our clients are increasingly looking for high-quality local and global digital content, and with this partnership, we are going one step further on our vision of delivering SmartContent, as we will be able to provide that on an immediate and continuous basis, at scale” said Olivier Gers, gobal president of LiquidThread.
“Brands today need social content that is relevant, engaging and authentic and Storyful will help us to provide that to our clients,” he added.
This deal will help SMG understand what the social web is sharing and talking about with regard to brand clients, and clients will be able to acquire the rights to content for both public and commercial use.
“Storyful will help lead SMG’s content solutions group to the right piece of social content for the right conversation at the right moment,” said Rahul Chopra, CEO of Storyful.
Storyful, acquired by News Corp. in 2013, provides video and user-generated content to newsrooms, advertisers and brands. The agency also provides social media dashboards, real-time discovery tools, feeds and analytics to customers across multiple platforms.
