Sizmek, an open ad management platform with programmatic ad-buying technology, on Thursday announced it has integrated data from Retailigence into its platforms. Retailigence coins itself an “online-to-offline data platform,” which essentially means it gives digital marketers real-time data on the offline world.
Specifically -- as its name suggests -- Retailigence is focused on retail data. In short, Retailigence gives digital marketers updated information on in-store product availability. The company tracks inventory at over 20,000 brick-and-mortar retail stores and plugs that data into an API connected to Sizmek. That data can then be used by digital marketers to target consumers who may have expressed interest in a specific item.
The goal of the integration, per a Sizmek representative, is to make its clients’ ads “more relevant to consumers and [to] drive consumers to purchase in-store.”
In addition to product availability, Retailigence also provides data on store information, maps, phone numbers and pricing, per a release.
