Eight of the top 20 news websites in the U.S. are affiliated with newspapers, according to the latest statistics from Nielsen/NetRatings. For the month of April, the top news sites in terms of
audience were CNN.com, MSNBC.com, and Yahoo! News. NYTimes.com was No. 4 while Gannett Newspapers' combined Web sites ranked at No. 6, followed by washingtonpost.com in seventh place.
