One In Four Households Signed Up To Online TV Services

Hit US shows are fuelling huge growth in subscriptions to online broadcasters, putting pressure on traditional satellite and cable TV providers. Collectively more than six million people are now signed up to Netflix, Now TV and Amazon instant video, according to IHS, the analysis company, equivalent to one in four households. At the beginning of 2012 there was not a single mainstream online broadcaster.
