Edinburgh City Council Hack Exposes 13,000 Email Addresses

Edinburgh City Council has exposed more than 13,000 email addresses belonging to city residents after the agency's provider was hacked. The attack took place on July 3. The council sent an email to those affected. "The attacker copied some email addresses, including yours, but we would like to reassure you that no other personal data was taken," the email explained.
