Self-storage company LifeStorage has named Schafer Condon Carter (SCC) its brand and ad agency to oversee brand planning, research and creative duties.
Last year, LifeStorage spent $128 million on ads, more than three times its $39.4 million ad spend in 2013, according to Kantar Media.
SCC will focus on helping the client expand its footprint in top urban areas across the U.S. The company currently owns, has under purchase agreement and operates 89 properties in 9 states across the U.S.
Job one: SCC will redesign of the company’s website and in-store merchandising assets. Then, the agency will develop creative and branding messaging.
There was no formal review. SCC has a relationship with Mark Good, CEO, LifeStorage. Previously, the brand handled projects in-house or on a project basis with various shops. “We were extremely impressed by the folks and capabilities of SCC," said Good. "We look forward to seeing the results of our work together and are confident that our customers will enjoy the new look and feel that we are rolling out in stores and on our website.”
Founded in 2011, the Roseville, CA-based LifeStorage is backed largely by private equity investments.
