4As Launches Digital Ops Committee, Will Focus On Supply Chain Issues

In a move recognizing the growing importance -- and complexity -- of digital media and marketing channels, the 4As has launched a new committee to “address issues related to the digital supply chain.”

GroupM Connect managing partner-digital operations Joe Barone has been named chairman of the newly anointed Digital Operations and Technology Committee, which will serve as the association’s hub for internal and external education on key digital operations issues and technologies.

The committee will work closely with other 4A’s committees and task forces, such as the Media Measurement, Data Management and Mobile committees, on policies and best practices.

Other charter members of the committee include: Annalect Global Managing Director-Data Group Adam Gitlin, Dentsu Aegis Managing Director-Digital Investment Jen Soch, Horizon Media Director-Ad Operations Eric Warburton, Magna Global/IPG Mediabrands Senior Vice President-Managing Partner of Ad Operations Mitchell Weinstein, and ZenithOptimedia Executive Vice President-Activation Standards, Insights and Technology Julian Zilberbrand.

The 4As said the committee will be expanded once the group begins working.

    Fox's in charge of the Hen House, Really !!! At the risk of stating the obvious, Brands are wising up, this committee better have some independent validation for whatever they dream up. It's pass time for some fully transparent independent Brand Champions to be invited to participate on these committees. But don't hold your breath.
