Vine Singing Sweeter Tune With New Music-Editing Tools

Vine plans to sound a lot sweeter with several new music-editing tools. A new Snap to Beat feature will help users create perfect loops -- so looping songs will sound continuous and uninterrupted.

Now -- after users chose a song by tapping the music note from the Details screen -- Snap to Beat will identify how much of the song to use to make a seamless loop.

“To date, our creation tools have focused on the visual components of your Vines,” the Twitter unit said on Thursday. “By focusing on how your Vines sound, you can make better Vines, and share new music for the world to uncover.”

In addition, a new Featured Tracks section has been added as a new way for users to discover music. Users can also find out exactly what they’re listening to as they watch Vines. When they see the music note on a Vine, they only need to tap it to reveal details about the track.

To maintain its edge, Vine has recently made a series of improvement to its clip-streaming service. The service recently became easier to navigate thanks to a new list of suggested Viners, and it added an HD broadcasting and viewing option. To take advantage of the HD quality setting, users have to tap on the Settings gear from their profile page, and then tap on “Your Content” to see new options.

Vine also recently worked with Billboard to be added to its Social 50 chart. The idea was to expose popular music Viners to a wider audience.
