Disney-ABC Hires Senior Digital Media Execs From Walmart, AOL

Disney-ABC Television Group is boosting its senior level digital media staff.

Former Walmart senior executive Cindy Davis will join Disney-ABC as EVP of consumer experience, responsible for improving research across media platforms, including consumer insights and analytics. Davis will look to improved consumer experience with greater personalization and product opportunities.

John Frelinghuysen comes to the company from AOL. He will be EVP of digital media, strategy and business development.

Specifically, Frelinghuysen will look to define and execute plans to effectively monetize both new and existing short-form and long-form content and distribution across multiple screens and platforms.

Davis had been EVP of global customer insights and analytics for Walmart since 2011. She established a Center of Excellence for Customer Insights & Analytics that integrated sales data, customer surveys, social signals, and analytics to predict customer needs.

Before Walmart, Davis had a senior executive position at Sam’s Club, EVP of membership, marketing and ecommerce.
