Last Wednesday, Kristen Cavallo, president of Mullen Lowe's Boston office since March 2014, announced she will step down at the end of the month for unspecified family obligations but will remain with the agency working out of Richmond.

When Cavallo was elevated to president, the plan was to have her relocate to Boston, but an agency rep said, "that's just not possible anymore."

Cavallo will remain with the agency and take on a strategic planning role for agency clients including Royal Caribbean, Indeed.com and American Greetings. Cavallo joined Mullen Lowe in 2011 as chief strategy officer.

A search is underway for a new Boston office head.
