John Kenny Promoted To Chief Strategy Officer, FCB Chicago

Interpublic Group’s FCB Chicago has promoted John Kenny to chief strategy officer, a post that has been vacant since the departure of Jamie Shuttleworth (for mcgarrybowen) a couple of years ago.

Kenny is a 10-year veteran of the agency who joined Draft about a year before its merger with FCB. Most recently he was executive vice president and head of planning.

Before joining Draft, Kenny was vice president planning at Diageo.

In a memo to staffers, FCB Chicago CEO Michael Fassnacht and Chief Creative Officer Todd Tilford wrote: “In the 10 years he’s been with the agency, the fundamentals of great brand building hasn’t changed, but how we get there has changed completely, thanks largely in part to John.”
