Carat Interactive Names Gabriner President

  • January 6, 2005
Last night, Aegis-owned Carat Interactive appointed Toby Gabriner to the role of president, effective immediately. Former president Sarah Fay has transitioned to the full-time role of president of Aegis' interactive ad agency network, Isobar. Gabriner was formerly chief operating officer of Carat Interactive.

"In his role as COO, Toby has done much to move the agency forward," Sarah Fay, new president of Isobar U.S., said in a press statement. Gabriner is credited with helping create and launch the Internet Development and Performance Marketing (which includes search and affiliate marketing) units at Carat Interactive during his tenure as COO. In that time, the company claims that both practices achieved more than 300 percent growth. Carat Interactive's clients include Kodak, adidas, EA, and Wachovia.

"I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to lead Carat Interactive," Gabriner stated. "Sarah Fay has done a phenomenal job of building a highly successful and profitable business, managing through both good times and bad. We thank her for her tremendous contributions, and look forward to continuing to work with her as she builds Isobar in the U.S."

Launched in July of 2004, Isobar was created to consolidate and integrate all of Aegis' digital entities into one cohesive unit. Aegis' other interactive U.S. properties include Freestyle Interactive and search marketing firm iProspect, which it acquired a few weeks ago.
